My approach:
My goal is to create a compassionate and nonjudgmental environment to help you explore difficult parts of your life. Together we’ll work to understand how key relationships and events have played a role in shaping who you are. With new perspective we can change patterns, alleviate emotional pain, celebrate your strengths, and create a sustainable future.
Our work together will be two-fold: Practical help for the short-term and a deep exploration of the root cause of the difficulties in your life. This can help provide relief in the immediate while we work to generate more lasting change. I use well-researched approaches while maintaining a comfortable and authentic atmosphere.
My work is founded on principles of emotion-focused and psychodynamic therapy, attachment theory, relational neuroscience, and mindfulness practice. If you have questions about or would like to discuss my approach further, I’d encourage you to schedule a free consultation with me.

Deeper understanding and exploration
When we enter a relationship, we bring our past along with us. Much of the time couples I work with don’t intend on hurting their partner, but past relationships, trauma, and new situations disrupt the best parts of their relationships. I am skilled at helping couples look past the surface of repetitive arguments and get to the core issues. I will help to promote mutual vulnerability that can help to heal past wounds and repair trust. This process can ease resentment and deepen appreciation between you and your partner.
